Who am I leading?
A chinese saying states, “Amongst two men I journey with, one of them must be my teacher/leader. Am I a good follower? Do I lead with my following?
As I am led, I lead myself and others, in that order.
Why am I leading?
Do I lead because I enjoy the power? Do I lead because it will serve others? Do I serve because I render power to the receiver? Do I serve because I have power over the receiver? I hope to lead from a place of overflowing love. Not needing to exercise power over others, not needing to give others power over me, not needing to worry about who is overpowering who?! I lead because I am led.
What am I leading?
As I ponder this question, I was stumped. What do I mean what? What comes to mind is a verse, Luke 16:10. …faithfulness in the little things. I am leading by example, faithfulness in the little things, in hearing God’s voice in the little things.
Where am I leading to?
Where am I leading myself and others to? To a completion of tasks? To a greater destiny? To a greater purpose? I pray I lead myself and all to Jesus.
Lastly, how am I leading?
I would say my past leadership style would be managing, entrepreneurial and visionary. Now, I resonate with directional for an organisation, shepherding for individuals I have a relationship with.
Perhaps more importantly, above all, I pray a serving heart and to lead out of servitude; humility and abundance, overflowing love of Daddy God.
I girded myself and allowed my feet to be washed. I am not greater than my master. My master sends me and I receive whomever He sends.
